| The TID continues to work with the Butler County
Communities to help determine what their infrastructure needs are in relation to traffic and development. The next big concern for
the County still remains a gateway towards the northwest part of Butler County. The TID has passed a resolution designating the Pioneer Parkway
(formerly State Route 63 extension) corridor as an intermodal facility/corridor. This designation should help with funding alternatives to allow
a western connection from State Route 4 near State Route 63.
The TID has formed a work group that consists for several different committees that will help with the vision and other aspects of
the project.
The committees are as follows:
- Planning – composing and compiling all local/regional zoning and land use plan so a comprehensive development strategy can be built for the whole valley (MillerCoors Brewery area along Wayne-Madison).
- Finance – looking into incentive packages the County and townships can offer to attract businesses and development. They will also be looking at funding opportunities to build the infrastructure needed to support the development.
- Engineering – answering questions relative to engineering and design. This group will be a resource back to all the other subcommittees, and will be led by Mr. Wilkens.
- Public Relations – looking at how the TID wants to present this information, i.e., power point presentations, graphics, possibly a traveling exhibit.
The Public Relations committee put together this informational flyer to help explain the aspects of the project.
